Gender equality and women liberation are causes of divorce - Bishop David Oyedepo

President of Winner’s Chapel and founder of Covenant University, Bishop David Oyedepo, during his Sunday sermon told his congregation that the idea of gender equality and women liberation is the reason for the high rate of divorce cases in the world.
He added that the increasing call for and approval of equality between women and men has spilled into their marital lives.
The man of God revealed that women now equate themselves with their husbands, against the biblical doctrine which states that women ought to be submissive to their husbands and that men should love their wives.
In buttressing his point, he also stated that cases of divorce are common in the western world because they do not follow the teaching of God and have started imbibing self-made laws that allow them to live with near-absolute freedom.
"When you copy the west, you make a huge mistake. They have murdered freedom. they encourage Gays and lesbians. You want to be equals with your husband and you want peace? its impossible". he added

Bishop Oyedepo Says Ladies Attitude Today Is Why Marriages Are Failing Much

Founder of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, says that the high rate of divorce cases in the world is due to the belief in women liberation.

Oyedepo who presided over the third service of his church in Ota, Ogun State on Sunday, noted that the increasing call and approval of equality between women and men have spilled into their marital lives.

Adding that, such women now equate themselves with their husbands against the biblical doctrine that advises women to be submissive to their husbands and that men should love their wives.

He said cases of divorce were most in the western world because people in such places have thrown the dictates of God away and have instead started imbibing self-made laws that confer on them near-absolute freedom.

This, he said, was partly the reason behind the laws approving homosexuality in such countries. He noted how he once mentioned that soon, it would no longer be news to find men and women marrying animals.

“Very soon, you would see a male President and the First Lady would be a man,” he said comically, but with some seriousness in his tone.

He lamented what the world, especially the west, was now turning into saying nowadays, “they take churches to court for refusing to marry men. That is how the world has turned.”

He told the congregation that women must be submissive to their husbands and that if they follow such with prayers, even if such men are wayward, God would return them to the family.

He concluded that men should avoid being blown away by the things of the world as they must learn to love their wives as the Bible had warned.

Why Jonathan Sacked Inspector-General of Police + The Profile of The New IG, Solomon Arase

President Goodluck Jonathan today sacked the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba.
Abba’s sack was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati.
Impeccable sources told GoldmyneTV that President Jonathan relieved Abba of his appointment because of his perceived relationship with the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.
Abba was present when the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, presented the certificate of return in Abuja.
The Presidency perceived that the sacked IGP worked against the interest of President Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
It was learnt that the President had security report on Abba’s relationship with the top echelon of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Another source said the IG was sacked because of his failure to do the bidding of the President and his party, the PDP.
Ironically, the sacked IG took side with the president and the PDP in the crisis that engulfed the House of Representatives. He even failed to recognise Speaker Aminu Tambuwal as the speaker.
President Jonathan has also appointed Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase as Acting Inspector-General of Police, also with immediate effect.

“Celebs Not The Illuminati, They Don’t Have That Kind Of Power’- Kanye West

In an essay he wrote for Paper magazine, the same magazine that helped Kim K break the internet, Kanye West said he’s tired of the notion that celebs are controlling society as members of the secret group, The Illuminati. He said celebs don’t have that kind of power.
“I heard a comment — a joke — about the Tidal press conference being an Illuminati moment. If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies. Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world. I’m tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That’s ridiculous. We don’t run anything; we’re celebrities. We’re the face of brands. We have to compromise what we say in lyrics so we don’t lose money on a contract. Madonna is in her 50s and gave everything she had to go up on an award show and get choked by her cape. She’s judged for who she adopts. F**k all of this sensationalism. We gave you our lives. We gave you our hearts. We gave you our opinions!”

Jonathan meets Obasanjo in Adeboye, Oyedepo’s presence

President Goodluck Jonathan met yesterday with his estranged godfather, former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta in the presence of two top clerics.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God and Bishop David Oyedepo, General Overseer of Living Faith Church attended the meeting as witnesses at Obasanjo’s request, Daily Trust learnt.
Jonathan had tried in the past months to meet with the former President at his Abeokuta home.
But Obasanjo had always insisted that he won’t receive Jonathan at home, but would rather show respect and meet the President in the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
It was gathered that the move is to prevent past occurrences where the duo were misrepresented in the media.
Only last week, the president who is battling the political battle of his life sought to get the blessing of Obasanjo, but, met a brick wall.
And may use the presence of the highly respected Nigerians to commit or make u-turn on some policies and actions of the Peoples Democratic Party, which had rubbed off negatively on Obasanjo.
The meeting was scheduled to hold in the afternoon before Jonathan’s presidential rally began in Abekuta.
However, the former President and chairman, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reportedly left his Abeokuta Hilltop house at exactly 2.59pm, while president failed to show up.
Sources close to Obasanjo hinted that President Jonathan was not on the list of guests expected yesterday, even as another claimed the number one citizen does not need such listing.
Operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) who had earlier besieged the Obasanjo’s Hilltop mansion as early as 6a.m in anticipation of the President’s arrival also left the place at 3: 36p.m when it became obvious that Jonathan was no longer coming.
However, by 7pm, Jonathan and the two prominent clerics assembled at Obajsanjo’s house and the meeting got underway.
Journalists were barred from entering the house, but hungry for news they waited outside.
About two hours later news filtered out that President Jonathan had left the house through a private exit. The other guests were also not seen, and no one was available for comment as at press time.
