BREAKING: Bomb explosion rocks Gombe Motor Park

Scores of people are feared killed after an explosion ripped through a crowded motor park in Gombe town, Gombe State, residents have said.
A journalist based in the state, Mallam Tildee, told PREMIUM TIMES that the blast occurred at Dukku Motor Park early Monday.
Mr. Tildee said he was on his way to the scene of the blast and would be able to give casualty figure later.
The spokesperson of the police in the state, Fwaje Atajiri, could not be reached for comments.
A similar blast had occurred in November at the Gombe line motor park, killing scores of commuters, drivers and traders.

Boko Haram launches strikes near Cameroon border

Maiduguri -Thousands of members of Nigeria's Islamic extremist group Boko Haram have launched strikes across the border in Cameroon, with co-ordinated attacks on border towns, a troop convoy and a major barracks.
Farther north, Boko Haram employs recruits from Chad to enforce its control in north-eastern Nigerian towns and cities.
In Niger, the government has declared a "humanitarian crisis" and appealed for international aid to help tens of thousands of Nigerian refugees driven from their homes by the insurgency.
These recent events show how neighbouring countries are increasingly being drawn into Nigeria's Islamic uprising. Thousands of people have been killed in Nigeria's 5-year insurgency and some 1.6 million people driven from their homes.
"We are concerned about the increasing regionalisation of Boko Haram," said Comfort Ero, Africa director for the International Crisis Group.
On Sunday, Cameroon's army announced it had broken up a Boko Haram training camp in the Mayo-Danay district in the country's Far North region.
The army was looking for other hideouts in the area, said Jean-Pierre Mbida, a soldier with the Rapid Intervention Battalion tasked with fighting the insurgents.
"We will continue monitoring the area in the hope of uncovering any other Boko Haram hideouts and training grounds," he added.

Soldiers
Ero cautioned that cooperation between the neighbouring countries is weak. "None of the sides is willing to share information with the other," Ero said. "There's always been a lack of confidence in terms of shared regional security."
She said there is also distrust of the capabilities of Nigeria's once-proud military, which has been battered by Boko Haram. A court-martial this week sentenced 54 soldiers to death by firing squad for refusing to fight the extremists.
Chad responded this week by opening a regional "counter-terrorism cell" against Boko Haram in N'Djamena, Chad's capital 60km from the Nigerian border, said an adviser to French defence minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Boko Haram's threat to neighbouring countries was highlighted on Wednesday, when some 5 000 insurgents launched simultaneous attacks on border towns in Cameroon, using a roadside improvised explosive device and attacked the main border barracks, Cameroon's ministry of defence said.
Cameroonian troops repelled the attacks and killed 116 militants, while losing a sergeant and a lieutenant, it said, adding that Boko Haram must have suffered additional casualties on the Nigerian side caused by Cameroonian artillery fire.
Fighters from Chad, Niger and Cameroon long have been identified among Boko Haram fighters in Nigeria. But residents fleeing Boko Haram now report that Chadian recruits are enforcing Boko Haram's rule in north-east Nigerian border towns in Borno state.
People who escaped from Gajigana village, which was attacked a week ago, said fighters they called "Chadian mercenaries" have taken charge of most communities, even sitting in courts to adjudicate local disputes.
"They monitor every movement, all the things we do, the kind of people you meet with," said Kalli Abdullahi, who escaped to Maiduguri this week. If residents break the strict Shariah law "they will get you and kill you so as to instil fear in people," he said.
Nigerian government officials confirm that Boko Haram controls 12 of 27 local government areas in Borno state, as well as some in Adamawa and Yobe states. And they long have had camps in Chad, Cameroon and Niger, say experts.
The area where the four countries' borders meet is generally poor and long has been ignored by governments. Desertification has intensified tensions. High unemployment means there are groups of disgruntled youths who are an easy target for Boko Haram recruitment.
Across borders, people often belong to the same tribe and speak the same local languages. Boko Haram offers signing bonuses and monthly pay to those who join, say residents.
Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau long has expressed his international ambitions, saying his group is fighting to make "the entire world" an Islamic state.
Analyst Ely Karmon wrote in a paper for the Terrorism Research Initiative that Boko Haram is "an immediate and infectious regional threat”.

Winners Chapel Adopts New Way Of Greeting

Believe it or not, members of Living Faith Church Worldwide, a.k.a. Winners Chapel, have adopted a unique way of greeting themselves.
Speaking at the weekend during a special thanksgiving programme of the church which was held at Canaanland, the headquarters of the church, along Ota-Idiroko road, Ogun State, Bishop David Oyedepo, general overseer of Winners Chapel, informed the church’s congregation of the new way of greeting.
According to reports, the new way of greeting is called “Heaven on Earth”.
It was disclosed that Oyedepo informed his congregation that the new greetings is a divine one which will now be a global way of greeting for all Winners Chapel members.
Bishop Oyedepo.
Bishop Oyedepo.
“As the year’s running to an end, several things will be happening and it shall be good ones. Like from now in our church, we have adopted a new form of greeting which will now be the way we greet one another.
“The new greetings shall be, “Heaven on Earth” and the response will be, “Wonders without end, that is your realm and that is my realm,”Oyedepo stated.
The man of God admonished Nigerians to remain steadfast and prayerful especially at this trying period of the nation.
Oyedepo maintained that only God can deliver the country now, adding that, all hands must be on deck to ensure the country remains an indivisible one.
He however called on the people to allow God decision to prevail during next year election,as failure to accept that may cause crisis in the country.

Oyedepo submitted that God loves this country as it was blessed with both human and mineral resources, adding that, if politicians thread softly in 2015, the country will be better to live in.

Ex-President George H.W. Bush taken to hospita

Former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to a Houston hospital Tuesday evening after experiencing a shortness of breath, a family spokesman said.

Bush spent nearly two months in the same hospital and was discharged in January 2013 after treatment for a bronchitis-related cough and other issues.
Bush, 90, was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital as a "precaution," according to spokesman Jim McGrath. He "will be held for observation, again as a precaution," McGrath said in a statement.
The White House said President Barack Obama, who is vacationing in Hawaii, has been notified about Bush's hospital admission.
"President Obama and the first lady send their good wishes to the former president and the entire Bush family during this holiday season," said White House spokesman Eric Schultz.
Bush, who can no longer use his legs, made two public appearances last month. He attended at an event at Texas A&M University with his son, former President George W. Bush.
The elder Bush also served as the coin toss captain for the Houston Texans during a Nov. 23 game that honored the U.S. Armed Forces.
Bush, the 41st president, had served two terms as Ronald Reagan's vice president when he was elected in 1988. Four years later, after a term highlighted by the success of the 1991 Gulf War in Kuwait, he lost to Democrat Bill Clinton amid voters' concerns about the economy.
He was a naval aviator in World War II — at one point the youngest in the Navy — and was shot down over the Pacific.
The elder Bush has skydived on at least three of his birthdays since leaving the White House. In June, he celebrated his 90th birthday by making a tandem parachute jump near his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine. During the winter, Bush and his wife, Barbara, live in Houston.
Bush, also a former U.S. ambassador to China and CIA director, suffers from a form of Parkinson's disease that has forced him in recent years to use a motorized scooter or wheelchair for mobility.

Nigeria’ll Overcome Challenges – Kumuyi

The General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, says Nigeria will certainly overcome its challenges as it prepares for general elections in 2015.
Kumuyi urged Nigerians to lessen their apprehensions and fear about the coming year and the turbulent period of elections, declaring that God would pull the country through peacefully and successfully.
A press statement signed on his behalf by the Church’s Secretary, Pastor Jerry Asemota, which formally announced the National 2014 December Retreat and monthly revival programmes with the themes: ‘Lifted Up to Higher Ground’ and ‘Enrichment Through God’s Visitation,’ Kumuyi assured that God has a blueprint for the country which transient events such as elections could never obliterate.
He appealed to all Nigerians to take advantage of the ministry’s December Retreatwhich begins on Thursday with  over 250,000 people participating, to plug into God’s Divine Master Plan and appropriate the best God has over the years prepared for mankind.
He added that God has designed packages, through the annual camp meeting, because of the critical stage in the nation’s life so that as many as are willing might enjoy sacred divine direction and intervention in their lives even as God’s Saints collectively pray for God to yet again, weigh-in in the affairs of the nation.
According to him, the retreat which starts from 18 December and ends on 21 December, will help the participants to operate on a higher spiritual frequency, especially as the nation and indeed the entire world is experiencing turmoil and uncertainties, noting that people will not be able to overcome the current situation without a divine visitation, hence, the theme.
While disclosing that the Lagos programme would hold at the Deeper Life Conference Centre (DLCC), Km 42, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the statement recalled that in January 2013, Kumuyi, began the monthly special programme, aimed at pulling out the oppressed and the harassed from the dungeon of affliction through divine intervention.
He gave assurance that this current programme, like other retreats in the past, would feature messages from Kumuyi and other anointed ministers in the church, seminars, workshops, soul-lifting choir renditions and prayer ministrations.
Kumuyi said the programme would be beneficial to everyone-sinners and saints, pointing out that it would provide them the opportunity to make peace with their maker (salvation of souls) and afford believers the opportunity to re-dedicate themselves to the service of God.
The retreat, he added, would be streamed live via satellite from DLCC to other centres in Nigeria, Africa, Europe, America and other continents of the world where the church has its branches.
According to the statement, “Like the previous editions, the event will meet the diverse needs of participants, as testimonies of supernatural deliverances have always been commonplace at the  programme.

PDP Primaries: Senators Plot Against Mark, Prefer Saraki, Akume

Following the defeat of senators and members of the House of Representatives in the recently concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries across the country, colleagues of the Senate president, David Mark, have turned against him and have started hatching a plot for his impeachment.
This is just as they have thrown up either the minority leader, George Akume or chairman of the Committee on Environment and Ecology, Bukola Saraki as successor to the position. The senators’ reason for choosing either of their two colleagues is that they do not want the Senate Presidency to leave the North Central.
In a similar development, the lawmakers have vowed to fully support embattled Speaker Aminu Tambuwal to retain his seat.
According to a leading senator, a member of the PDP, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the plot is being hatched by lawmakers who suffered defeat in the primaries and are convinced that Mark could have intervened with the party authorities to help them secure return tickets.
He argued that their support for the party and the leadership of the Senate in the heat of the emergence of the PDP should have been reciprocated during their primaries instead of allowing their state governors to play the game as they pleased.
Shortly before the Senate adjourned plenary two weeks ago, the senators had already started venting their anger by gathering signatures to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan for what they referred to as “several impeachable offences”.
The plot then, which was championed mainly by the opposition senators, was to table the president’s alleged impeachable offences as soon as the chamber resumes plenary this week.
However, this new move does not only involve opposition senators, as members of the PDP are also playing major roles in it, choosing to start with Mark to prove their point.
The senator lamented, “We never expected the party to treat us this way. We stood by the party when there was turbulence occasioned by the emergence of the new PDP”.
When contacted, the media adviser to David Mark, Kola Ologbondiyan stated that there is no truth in the alleged plan to remove his boss as the president of the Senate, saying that, “There’s no such plot”.

“There was a plot then to impeach the same leadership but we stepped in and stopped it with our sheer number. In fact, we used our personal contacts to talk to the organisers and they backed down”.

Boko Haram displaces 700,000 Nigerians, says UN

The United Nations Office for West Africa said on Monday in Abuja that no fewer than 700,000 Nigerians were displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency.
The Special Representative of the Secretary General of the UN for West Africa, Mr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, said this at the 46th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.
Chambas, who put the number of refugees and returnees in Chad, Cameroon and Niger at about 142,000 persons. called on all parties concerned to intensify efforts at ensuring the objectives of the Millennium Development Goals were met.
Chambers, the former Secretary of ECOWAS said, “The Boko Haram insurgency continues to create mayhem as innocent civilian populations are being killed and entire communities are living under very challenging security situations. The regional dimension of this violent extremism is more than ever visible.
“The number of refugees and returnees in Chad, Cameroon and Niger is estimated at about 142,000 persons.
“In Nigeria, Internally Displaced Persons are estimated to be about 700,000.
“Efforts need to be stepped up to globally and comprehensively combat the insurgency.
“The issue of youth unemployment needs to be urgently addressed and the attainment of the objectives of the MDGs which has been shadowed by the many security challenges we’re facing, not only on the African continent but the entire world, needs to be refocused.
“The nexus between peace, security and development cannot be overemphasised.”
The UN representative also commended ECOWAS for restoring political stability in Burkina Faso.
He said, “UN will remain actively engaged jointly with ECOWAS to prepare for transparent, free and fair elections that will mark the end of the transition period in 2015.

Matse’s Talks Love, Proposal, Wedding And More

Former Nigeria Info OAP, Matse who got married last year and has been blessed with a 7months old daughter says a lot about love, her proposal, marriage, what has sustained her marrage and advices ladies still waiting. She had the interview with Ynaija. See excerpts below:
How has life been since you quit the radio world?
Life away from radio has been peaceful. I guess I needed being off radio to revaluate my life. It made me closer to my husband and allowed me enough time with my new born and entire family. Instead of the fast paced life I was used to, I slowed down a bit and this has been great. It showed me other hidden talents that I had not explored. Now, apart from being a media personality, I am now an entrepreneur, a food blogger, photographer and a software developer. The titles keep coming. Lol

You enjoy cooking a lot, how did you grow to fall in love with it?
Before radio, cooking was and is my first love. I started cooking as a teenager. Baking all sorts of things in my mum’s kitchen and trying out different recipes. I taught my entire household as a teenager how to bake.
Nowadays, we find young ladies say “Any man I must marry must know how to cook” What is your take on this.
I really don’t care about who knows how to cook in marriage. Anybody can do the cooking.
What is your advice to ladies of this generation who find it hard to cook or do not enjoy cooking.
A lady’s life is not all about the kitchen, if you love doing it, do it. If you can afford it, pay someone else to. There is more to life than cooking. Women nowadays are thinking beyond cooking. I do it because I love it but when I am forced to do something, I dislike that thing.
Was it your food that drew your husband to you (if not, what did)
No, it wasn’t my food that initially drew my husband to me but it was what made him appreciate me more. He initially liked me as a woman and enjoyed our intellectual banters before partaking in my culinary delights. My cooking sealed the deal though. lol
Readers would love to know about Matse’s love, proposal, wedding and honeymoon story
Love proposal ke! It wasn’t the traditional type of proposal. It came in between a conversation. We were talking and he suddenly said, “Let’s get married”. I was shocked and he repeated it. That was how the journey of a thousand miles started.
How have you been able to cope with a culture different from the one you grew up from (marrying a Non-Nigerian?)
My husband is half Nigerian. He is German/Ibo so he understands our culture quite well but has mostly western influence.
Tell us about Chimmy. Was she named after Chimamanda Adichie?
Chimmy my sweetheart. We did not name her after Chimamanda Adichie per se. We, loved the meaning of the name which is, “My God will never fall or My God will never fail”. God has been too good to us, so we chose the name Chimamanda.
How did you feel when you carried her in your arms the very first time?
I was staring at her with so much pride. I was like, so this my baby…mineeee! It was and still is a wonderful experience.
How soon should Chimmy expect a baby sister/brother?
Chimmy’s brother or sister will come when we are ready. Kids are a handful.
The beautiful piece you shared on instagram last year, on how God changed your story, encouraged many on holding on to hope. How would you advise single ladies who are over-ripe for marriage to deal with the pressure from family, friends, and society?
I would advice all single ladies to be focused on their inner and outer selves and not get distracted or worried about what friends, family and frenemies have to say. Marriage is not the ultimate. I am not saying this because I am now married.
Enjoy yourselves while single, have fun, party if you wish, travel to all corners of the world if you can afford it because when you get married you may not have that kind of spontaneous freedom again. You now have a partner you have to plan even the most minute of details with. When the babies come, it’s extra planning.
You can’t just get up and travel. You need to consider the needs of your family first but marriage has it’s blessings, you have a partner to go through the ups and downs with, to share special moments with, to plan and achieve with, to raise a family with, to grow old with. Being single and being married is beautiful, so enjoy the stage that you are at. If you are divorced, don’t worry yourself out. It’s a period to re-evaluate your life and move forward. Every stage in life has it’s beauty.

Bill Cosby praises love and strength of wife Camille amid sex assault claims

The comedian Bill Cosby, besieged by a wave of allegations of sexual misconduct, has praised his wife for supporting him and criticised the media for its coverage of a scandal that has compromised his career.
Cosby made the remarks in a rare telephone interview with the New York Post, which published them on its website late on Saturday.
Almost two dozen women have made accusations against Cosby, including giving them alcohol or drugs and then sexually assaulting them in incidents that go back decades.
Several women have filed lawsuits against the actor, who is best known for playing Dr Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992. Cosby has never been criminally charged, and through his lawyers, he denies the allegations.
In the Post’s telephone interview, Cosby was asked how his wife of 50 years, Camille Cosby, was holding up amid the controversy.
“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”
Cosby did not speak highly of the media.
“Let me say this,” Cosby said. “I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.”
Cosby said he has been advised by lawyers not to comment on the allegations and he cut off interview, the Post said.
“They don’t want me talking to the media,” Cosby said

Boko Haram: Residents In Captured Borno Communities Pay Allegiance To Chadian Mercenaries

Chadian mercenaries hired by the Boko Haram sect have now taken over the administration of most communities seized by the insurgents in the northern part of Borno State where they, amongst other things, sit in court to adjudicate on communal disputes, escapee villagers have reported.
Witnesses said the Boko Haram terrorists have now replaced all the sacked government institutions as they now rule over those who could not escape from the seized communities with an iron fist, sword and bullets.
Some of the escapees from Gajigana village in Mobbar local government council of Borno, where the Boko Haram had last Thursday attacked and killed about 30 persons, injured several others and burnt down half of the communities, said about 10 local government areas are now under the full command of the insurgents.
At least 12 local government councils of the state, mostly in the northern district, are currently under the stranglehold of Boko Haram.
Kalli Abdullahi, a resident of Gajiganna who managed to make to Maiduguri, said the insurgents that attacked them were tribesmen from Mangal in Chad Republic, adding that they are now administering the conquered territories.
“The Chadian rebels from Mangal now preside over meetings in most of the villages”, said Kalli. “The sit in courts and hear disputes and pass judgement for the locals who are in dispute with one another.
“Just before they attacked Gajigana last week, the Manga tribesmen of Chad normally came around to judge the people. As a matter of fact, some days before the attack on Gajigana, there was a problem between one of our friends and a Fulani man who took his herd of cattle into the farm of our friend. After our inability to resolve the ensuing dispute – which had taken a dangerous dimension, we had to report the matter to Boko Haram men, who came to resolve the matter. They found the Fulani man guilty and ruled that he must pay a fine equivalent of five bags of beans within 24 hours face the death punishment; and the Fulani man quickly complied.”
On why the terrorists attacked the serene village of Gajigana, the source said that the terrorists had accused the villagers of reporting to security operatives that a forceful recruitment of young men in the surrounding villages was taking place.
For that crime, they staged a major attack on the village of Gajigana last week.
“When the terrorists came attacking, we heard them saying that we were the ones that went to report their secret recruitments around Gajiganna. As if that was not enough, they suddenly started burning houses, and those of us who were lucky escape took to the bush for days until we arrived in Maiduguri this Sunday (yesterday) morning.”
According to Abubakar, towns and villages in about 11 local government areas in northern Borno, comprising “Abadam, Kukawa, Marte, Ngala, Dikwa, Mobbar, Nganzai, Magumeri, Marte, Kala-Balge, and Monguo, had all been deserted by the security forces, except in some few local government headquarters.
He added that the insurgents and their Chadian rebels had mounted closer surveillance of all movements and activities on the residents, and any person caught discussing their activities is severely dealt with.
“They monitor every movement, all the things we do, the kind of people you meet with and sometimes they would call you to ask what you discussed or what you heard people discussing. If you lie in your response and they find out, they will get you and kill you so as to instill fear in the people, who will then tell them everything they know,” he said.
An official of the Nigeria Vigilante Group, Muhammed Gava, also confirmed the incident in Gajigana, saying that 11 persons died while 17 others were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.

Exclusive! Omotola’s bombshell: I have been tempted many times to cheat on my husband

With four beautiful children and a rock-solid marriage, sexy actress, Omotola Jalaide- Ekeide, is a success story, especially in an area where some of her contemporaries and colleagues have failed miserably – the matrimonial department .She is one of the few actresses who have successfully combined the rigors and excruciating schedule of acting while keeping the home front stable and happy.
She has been married to her pilot husband – Mr. Ekeide-for over a decade, and the union is still defined by love and deep feeling of affection. Not for her has been the usual drama of rumored infidelity and emotional backstabbing that seem to define relationships and marriages in Nollywood. Of all the scoops and tips on Nollywood’s shenanigans that we are daily deluged with, none has ever been linked to Omotola.
When the sexy actress visited New York sometime ago, and, at a reception I had arranged for her at the TROPICAL GRILL Restaurant/Lounge York, I informed her that I would love to have an honest and candid interview with her, with the sole purpose of finding out what has been the source of her martial success and the challenges she may have faced remaining true to her values, and vows in an industry where such vows are sacrificed at the altar of conspicuous consumption edged on by the rich and the powerful who regard popular actresses as trophy acquisitions.
I told Omotola that my interview with her was going to be decidedly different – it was going to dwell primarily on her personal life and nothing else – a declaration she had enthusiastically agreed to. “Thank God it is going to be different from all those hackneyed and generic line of questionnaire I have been used to”, she told me as we sat in her HOTEL ROOM.
I started by asking her what had been the secret of her success in marriage. “I have been favored by the Lord”, she began. “I am truly blessed to have been married to one-of-a-kind husband who appreciates what I do, encourages me to excel in my craft. Let me tell you this: I take my marriage very seriously. If you treat your marriage with levity and careless abandon, you will reap the reward for such bad behavior. My husband is an angel, brought by God to my life, and it has been a blessing having him as my husband.”
*Omotola
*Omotola
As one of the most desirable and sexy actresses in Nollywood and knowing how persistent men of power and influence can get in wanting to have celebrities as trophy lovers, I asked Omotola if she had received material things from men who ran after her. “Sure, I have received lots of goodies from my male admirers,”she deadpanned. So what gives – what is the qui pro-quo? “Nothing”, she replied. “I do not give anything in return. I always tell them that I am married and would not compromise my martial vows. If after making that point clear, they still continue to shower me with gifts, maybe believing that something will break in the future, then I cannot help them.”
Asked if she had ever met men that she genuinely took a liking to, and was tempted to sacrifice her marital vows, she answered: “Absolutely. I have been tempted many times to cheat on my husband by men I really liked. But when you think of what you stand to lose, the destruction of all you have labored to build, when you weigh all the options, you are left to conclude that it is not worth the trouble. I know some women will find this somewhat objectionable, but if they want to be truthful to themselves, they will agree with me that, as married women, we have all faced moments that I have just described.”
Do you feel emotionally detached as a result of many years of marriage or, put differently, has your passion for your husband cooled with time?, I asked. “Of course, it has”, she said matter-of-factly. “Which married woman who has been with her husband for years will, in her true state, tell you that the feeling has remained the same as it was the first time or the first year she met her husband? It is bound to cool off. What I recommend to women is what I call “temporary separation.” You will make yourself unavailable to your husband. Go somewhere – go on vacation with your friends, do something bold, lose weight, look different and, after weeks, come home, looking drop dead gorgeous, and I bet you, the fire of passion will be mightily rekindled and you  will feel brand new again. I have applied this principle in my marriage and it has worked wonders.”
Asked if the desire to rekindle her passion was responsible for the huge weight loss that is very noticeable about her, she countered. “You have to love yourself first. I do not see the weight loss you are talking about, “she said smiling as if to say, “Yes, I did it and I love the way I look.”Omotola went on to advise women that they “should learn to appreciate the fact that you can live without anyone” and that the “world would not come crashing on you if you did so. I think women should empower themselves while still remaining true to their marriage and husbands. If a marriage is stressful, emotionally destructive, I think we should be strong enough to walk away from such damaging unions.”
Asked to confirm the widely held notion that she is difficult to work with, she answered
emphatically, “Yes, I am difficult. It depends on who I am dealing with. If you are not focused, I bet you, I will be your nightmare. People who are professional about what they do, have no problems with me.”

Oyedepo Curses Boko Haram, Predicts Its End

The founder and President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has angrily predicted the end of the Boko Haram terrorist group.

 T
he clergyman made the prediction on Friday at his church Shiloh programme, while reacting to the unabated killings, and suicide bombings.
Oyedepo shouted,“Today Friday, 12 December 2014, marks the end of the harassment of Boko Haram in Nigeria, because Nigeria has been delivered from these fundamentalists.”

2015: The ONLY way out is…. – Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo
The Bishop of Living Faith Church International, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said consistent and untiring spiritual engagements are “master keys” to uncommon attainments in life.
Bishop
Oyedepo said because men were limited only to the extent of their spiritual commitments, “consistent, unsparing and tireless prayers would unlock unimaginable possibilities.
His words: “With prayers all things are possible. All things are now ready. Before you came in here all things are waiting. But the question is how ready are you to take delivery?”
He said for those who have become spiritually empowered and actually redeemed, everyday becomes “Christmas”, a day of celebration of new attainments and achievements.
The Bishop spoke yesterday at the “Hour of Visitation”, which he specially tagged ‘“Heralding the era of heaven on earth” at the ongoing Shiloh 2014.
Rev Oyedepo urged Christians to redouble efforts in their closeness to and with God to be genuinely “redeemed”.
“Because everyday is Christmas in heaven, everyday is Christmas for the redeemed. Whatever good thing you can imagine for yourself is possible and achievable.
“Two kinds of heaven exist, temporal/earthly heaven which is heaven of the now and the eternal heaven.
“The kingdom of heaven both in the now and in the latter is possible now. This is dominion unlimited, forever. No more opposition or resistance.
“Everyday is Christmas in heaven. Everyday is ordained Christmas. Everyday is ordained to be Christmas for the redeemed. What you believe is what becomes your experience.”
Bishop Oyedepo urged Christians not to submit or resign to fate in situations of adversities, insisting that “Christians have to resist and fight back”.
“When you are challenged, put up a fight. When Hezekiah was challenged, he fought back. Resist the devil and he will flee. Fight the good fight of faith. The opposition is angry with your position. Bible is a two-edged sword. Life and death. Each man’s choice is his lot.”
The necessity of resisting oppositional forces was the subject of an earlier sermon by the church’s Vice President, Bishop David Abioye.
Bishop Abioye, who gave the opening sermon, insisted that the prevalence of evil made it compulsory for Christians to prepare for war all the time and also resist “evil” forces whenever and wherever.
Speaking on the subject “Walking in the reality of Heaven on Earth”, Abioye said: “Your identity in Christ is what has given you redemption. You must declare it and refuse to be intimidated. John came in the power of Elijah but refused to declare his status and so he was consumed by darkness.”
David Oyedepo Junior, who spoke on dominion, said Christians must understand their dominion in Christ, saying “Confess it, declare it and put it to action”.
He urged Christians to activate the blessings of God for them through “prayer and fasting”, noting “Prayer and fasting is a must if you must overcome. If you must be in union with God you must abandon the body. You have to discipline your body. You are complaining when you should be commanding”.
